As winds swirl the dead remnants of once-green leaves, whispering of winter’s approach, children don the shrouds of costume to plunder in a joyful raid. The crone welcomes her newest year. She raises her goblet in honor of the horned god who comes to take the crown. The veil between the realm of living and dead is thin. Passable. The witch prepares a ghastly welcome. The 31st. A monk of old beset by the lifeless, murderous eyes of legions of dead. Beastly fiends who have cloaked the Ancient of Days in a terrifying shroud. Through scriptural power he tears it away. The Way will be shown. The Truth will be known. The Life will be sown.
